Welcome to Say It With Health!

As you can probably tell from the title of this site, we’re here to talk about all things health – from exercise and fitness to healthy eating and healing, I hope to call on both my personal experience and research to provide you with the information that brings so much light to my life — helping people find ways to be happy and healthy.

If you’ve ever struggled with a disease, ailment, or illness, you know that health is the foundation for everything and it’s often one of those things we take for granted. We put off taking care of our bodies and say, “I’ll get to it later”, as we focus on the more urgent demands of life. We eat fast food because we don’t have time to cook dinner or postpone exercise in exchange for sleeping in or after-work cocktails. The truth is, health impacts our quality of life and influences how we show up for our friends, family, and colleagues. If we don’t have good health, it is difficult to show up in life as the best version of ourselves.

I know how it feels, too. I struggled with emotional and physical symptoms for over ten years. I went to several doctors, including specialists and therapists to find out how I can improve my health. After years of research, introspection, and failed treatments, I realized I had to take a multi-faceted, whole-body approach to my wellness. It wasn’t just one methodology that brought me relief, but rather a combination of different lifestyle adjustments to start healing. My healing journey has since shaped how I experience life around me including the foods I eat, the hobbies I have, how I approach health, and even what I love to write about. You’ll see all of that (and more) in the articles I will soon publish here.

I am now a boot camp, boxing, and running enthusiast who owns a farm and loves to spend her time outdoors whenever possible – gardening, grounding, walking, you name it! And since healing is not linear, I am always learning and experimenting with different methodologies, and I’m eager to share the information, products, and personal stories here on Say It With Health. I’m happy to have you join me as I document ways to enhance our lives through meaningful and healthy lifestyle choices!
